    Data security, client privacy biggest challenge for Indian BPOs

    The Indian BPO industry is addressing the data security and privacy governance of their clients, however most Indian companies have already embraced the processes required to deliver secure outsourcing services, according to a survey, the biggest challenge that currently facing.  The KPMG and the Data Security Council of India (DSCI) it was ” jointly surveyed 50 organisations in association with CERT-In to assess the data security and privacy practices adopted by the Indian BPO industry and gain insights into how the industry is addressing security and privacy-related concerns.”  That almost of the  50% of the companies are negotiating contracts to ensure that any liability arising from vulnerabilities in the client’s environment are borne by the client.  More than 75% of the firms involve process owners and lines of business as part of data security initiatives.  The maturity of the Indian BPO industry is reflected by the fact that most organisations treat security as a “hygiene factor”, rather than a competitive issue, this is that the study stressed.  Furthermore, the study said “70% of the organizations surveyed felt the key threats to data security were internal in nature.” It is also spending significant time on strategic initiatives like identifying the security implications of new business initiatives, according to the Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) of the majority of the organizations ” As per the survey, only 44% of the respondents were fixing a liability on third party vendors to report new threats and vulnerabilities in their products and services.”  and the  “The study estimates that the turnover of the Indian BPO industry has grown by nine times from US$1.6 billion to US$14.7 billion in just a decade and it will witness robust growth in the years to come as well.”;  When it come to the BPO or the Business Processing Outsourcing it is very challenging, but this is a big way to have a solution in the problems of the company. It find solution in everything.  This outsourcing has an advantage wherein it helps the company a lot.  There so many challenge that the outsourcing company face.  There is an instance that the company who do not want the outsourcing way, so that people think what is the best. In outsourcing it helps to improve the things that needed to improve. The company for sure will be immediately stand up.  It is normal that the company faces challenges, there is a solution for everything.  The industry is almost working with the outsourcing way and strategy wherein it is helping one company to another company.
