    Earthquake shakes parts of Kent

This earthquake is about magnitude 4.3. In the Folkestone, the people there was evacuated because of the structural damage like the cracked walls and also the fallen chimneys. The Chief Superintendent Ally Hope said: “Given the time this happened and the number of people that were about we should be genuinely thankful that so few people were hurt.”  People who was concerned about the different issues from the damage to gas smells they call in Kent Fire and Rescue Service. Thousand homes left without power in the Folkestone and Dover area was managing to restore electricity. The major transport infrastructure in the area also appeared to have escaped damage, this is according to Ch Supt Hope, he also said that “The information I have is that the ferry ports are running normally, and that the Channel Tunnel is running normally,” then “he was aware in some cases there are secondary tremors and called for people in the area to be alert, but not alarmed. ”  The largest recorded in Britain since the earthquake in Dudley in 2002 is the Kent incident. British Geological Survey (BGS) seismologist Roger Musson said “the tremor was around 4.3 on the Richter scale, with an epicentre 7.5 miles off the Dover coast.”and “Two of them have been some of the biggest earthquakes ever to affect Britain, the first was in 1382 and in 1580 a quake with a magnitude of about six killed two people in London. ” Earthquake is so scary, everyone should be ready when there is an earthquake or disaster that comes in our life. We cannot stop it, the way that we should do is don’t panic because there is a tendency that you will be more nervous though it is so scary.
