    Salesforce.com Joined UK Government’s G-Cloud Framework

     

    The cross-departmental action focused on introducing cloud computing all over the public sector, Salesforce.com, an enterprise cloud computing company has joined the United Kingdom government’s G-Cloud framework. And by way of the G-Cloud Cloudstore, it means that the government organizations can now acquire the cloud computing applications and platforms of Salesforce.com.

    According to the Home Office director of IT strategy and delivery and director of the G-Cloud programme, Denise McDonagh said that to enhance effectiveness via cloud services and caters the potential for additional innovation, the G-Cloud programme presents a wide range of opportunity for public-sector organizations.

    She added that as an outcome, they are delighted to expand the G-Cloud framework together with Salesforce.com, they are working hard to constantly advance the framework to secure that it establish in line with the demands of the public sector and it allows them to make best use of the latest and developing technologies.

    As part of the green IT strategy, government departments are progressively moving towards the cloud, to provide better services at a lower cost, Salesforce.com has approved the G-Cloud for its ability to support government departments. Vivek Kundra, the executive vice president for emerging markets of Salesforce.com said that the record government deficits, a deficiency of public-sector innovation and failed legacy information technology programmes have established a lean point for cloud computing.

    He added that all over the world, the G-Cloud performs the innovative path and it is a proof of the relentless momentum of cloud computing in governments. Even though a previous report recommends 80 percent of customers may not be acquiring a maximum return on investment, Salesforce.com’s government customers including the NASA in the United States and Japan Post in Japan.
