    Five killed and thousands evacuated as floods hit central Europe

    In Southern Poland and the Czech Republic up to eight inches fell in the parts of southern Poland. The householders was warned to expect further two inches and the rains to persist. In Poland there were at least four people died, the Czech Republic a 65-year-old woman drowned as the heaviest rainfall for eight years struck the region. The rising of the river levels was also forced to the staff of the Auschwitz museum to move the exhibits and the documents to the upper floors. Mieczyslaw Ostojsk, from the Polish meteorological office said that “The heavy rain has triggered flood warnings on most rivers in the southern Poland,”he also added that “in some places river levels had risen by a metre in one hour. ”  The 2000 people was evacuated, the hundreds of villagers in the south of the country was stranded as swollen rivers burst their banks leaving the people in little time to escape.  One of the resident of the small southern town of Cikowic, east of Krakow said that “My neighbours woke me up, shouting that I was in danger and that I had to get to the roof,”. The polish government has mobilized the 8000 troops, some of the equipped with the amphibious vehicle and engineering equipment. The heavy rains also brought misery to the Hungary with floods forcing the evacuation of 2000 people. One of the hospitals in Szikso. The meteorologists expected that the rains continue until they die away, They pose no danger to other parts of Europe.The people should do something about it because when the problems happen, there is also a solution for it.
